IFOY PARTNERSHIP

Fronius is an official partner of the IFOY AWARD

The International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY AWARD) recognises the best forklift trucks and intralogistics solutions of the year. The non-profit organisation seeks to document the capabilities and innovative strength of the forklift truck and intralogistics sector as well as to promote competitiveness and to improve the overall image of intralogistics in the eyes of the public. Each year, an independent jury of international trade journalists chooses the worthiest recipient of the IFOY Award. The current holder of the IFOY Award is the Association of Materials Handling and Intralogistics, part of the German Engineering Association (VDMA). CeMAT (Hanover), the world’s leading trade fair for intralogistics and supply chain management, is the IFOY Presentation Partner. The battery charging specialist Fronius is an official IFOY Partner. The IFOY Award is held under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

Every single day it is our goal to achieve the greatest possible benefit for our customers with respect to TCO, reliability and sustainability through our innovations and unbeatable levels of service. As the IFOY Award and Fronius embody the same values, we are delighted to offer our support as a partner of the IFOY and to share its journey in becoming the leading global award.”

Impressions from the IFOY Test Days

The jury members can draw on two key instruments to help them make their decisions: the IFOY test and the IFOY Innovation Check. The IFOY test is based on the Andersom Test developed by Dutch trade journalist Theo Egberts. Since 1988, over 400 different forklift and warehouse trucks have undergone the Andersom Test. This has led to the creation of the biggest comparison database of independent test data anywhere in Europe and is considered the benchmark for the sector.

All nominated trucks undergo testing based on a test protocol comprising measureable and soft factors over the course of a week in a purpose-designed testing hall. The IFOY test focuses on the practical use of forklift trucks. The test parameters include cost effectiveness and energy efficiency, sustainability, safety, ergonomics and design.

Following the testing week, all trucks must face the final decision by the jury members.
